Among the trees
From my evening walk.
A picture every day, every other day, or there about... My project used to be posting a photo taken with a crappy camera each day (like a mobilephone camera), but at the moment the camera on my mobilephone is just to crappy.
The quality of the camera in this phone is even worse than the HTC TyTN - which mean I have to work even harder to get something usefull...
With some friends at the church, drinking coffee from paper cups. The
coffee are not the best in the world, but the friends are great. I
guess that's way it taste so good anyway :)
I am in the process of taking down that three. You see how far I am;
have to do some more work on it another day :)
These guys are building a new under-water, or actually in-water
tunnel, that should move heavy traffic away from the new Opera house.
The sys-admin group at work went out to dinner together with the rest
of the administration group in our company. today. I had beef
carpaccio as a starter, pepper steak as the main dish, and some apple
pie for dessert. The place is called Jimmy's , supposed to be a "New
York" style diner/bar. I don't know much about that. The food is ok,
the atmosphere is great though. And the dessert was great. We had a
good time :)
Nothing particullary fancy today. But I kind of liked how the sun
played with the clouds, creating extreme contrasts.
A view from the new Opera in Oslo, which I pass when driving back and
forth to work. As I have to use my car when the mc is in the repair
shop, and traffic moves slower than you can walk when passing the
Opera (due to heavy traffic, not the Opera house), I can snap some
pics. Soon, the road will be moved into a tunnel floating under
sealevel somewhere outside the opera house, and we will not see the
house when passing anymore.
There are some pieces on my veranda that need to be replaced. Very
soon. This is one of them. But it make some nice closeups possible...
Anyway, had the first meal out on the veranda this spring today.
There will be many more.
From a walk in the neighbourhood tonight. My back is aching, i try
to talk some short walks and hope that will help me.
On my way home after work today, I stopped for red light. It was far from a stoppie, butthe car behind me nevertheless did not had any intention of stopping. Bang! Not good for the bike, not good for me. And it wasn't good for that car either. It will be a few weeks without bike as all the repair shops in the area are busy fixing up all the bikes dor the season. Very bad indeed. Luckily, everything will be covered by the other guys insuranse - anything else will at least be very strange. Ride carefully guys!
Attend a short course on programming GPUs today. You see the heads of the crowd watching enthusiastically and listening carefully to the nicely delivered talk, given by a visiting research scientist.
The easter stuff is out. The cabin is fully dressed, with eggs in the windows, yellow chickens on skis here and there, yellow daffodils and tulips, and more. Btw, easter is probably the most important christian feast! While christmas is important because Jesus was born, easter is more important because then we celebrate that he fullfilled!
Nice sunny weather today also, so we're out at the beach (it's just
100m away anyway). My little boy wanted to catch some small crabs,
but they are not there yet, probably because the water is too cold.
It is very nice and clean though.
Out of focus at the beach. To early for swimming of course, but just right for playing in the sand.
We'll spend a few days at the cabin during easter, as we always do. When the sun was setting, this drama was played out over the resort with beautiful colors and shapes. It may indicate that the weather will not be as good the next couple of days as so far this week. We will have a good time anyway!
Schools are closed during the easter week, so I have to do some stuff
with the kids. Today we went to a swimming pool :)
So many beatiful yellow crocus outside. And since it is soon easter
anyway, I go for this one today. Some other alternatives for today's
pad was my sons new shoes (with Batman on!), my shadows (out shooting
with the real gear), and a photo of my photostuff. The sunshine
reflected in the petals should indicate what kind of weather we have
now - sunshine all day, warm and nice. It's great. Happy Easter!
